Ex-world War I Captain John Frederick Audrey Ball started business as a paper merchant in 1920, working from small premises in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

With just a sack truck for deliveries he sold mainly Kraft papers, rather than the white office papers we think of today, and developed a solid business based on service – a “mission” that is still true today.

After JFA Ball’s death Gordon Carter became proprietor, then in 1991, Graham Buckley bought the business. So it the company’s 97 year history there have been only 3 owners!

JFA Ball & Co is still a small, yet stable, company that concentrates on providing a good service to its customers. The company’s relationship with customers is one of partnership based on understanding each other’s needs.

As a result of this service attitude, JFA Ball & Co has developed into a merchant that can supply all packaging needs, not just Kraft papers, with most items available ex-stock for its large Birmingham premises.

From being solely paper merchants the company has developed into print and stationary, which turn has spawned a sundry supplies option, thus giving its customers a one-stop-shop option for all their consumables.

How much do I need to order?
There is no minimum order quantity as such but larger orders can take advantage of our excellent delivery service and there is more scope to get discounted prices.
Is it possible to order without an account?
Yes of course, this is normally done for any potential customers that collect from us.
How can I pay for my order?
We accept cash, cheque, BACs and PayPal
Can I get better prices for larger quantities?
Packaging is a quantity sensitive product. Obliviously price is negotiable when ordering large quantities, please contact us for further details
Can I buy custom made packaging?
For custom sized and bespoke packaging (including printed packaging), please do not hesitate to get in touch.
